This time they performed their latest play\u00a0 \u2018Pastport\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s plot revolves around an Irish musician called Rover travelling through different centuries by train. During his travels he gets to meet various people of different nationalities learning more about western history and different attitudes towards migration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the course of the action, he travels back in time, starting in a dystopian future, where nationalism and border controls are back stronger than ever, then to 1945 meeting an Italian partisan dreaming of a unified Europe who keeps on singing \u2018Bella ciao\u2019 in between.<br>Finally he ends up in 1901 after the German unification, here he meets a German couple, called Tristan and Isolde who want to go to Berlin to perform \u2018Cabaret\u2019, which is according to their interpretation not a French play, but a German one.<br>And finally in the year 1852 he starts the attempt to emigrate to the USA \u2013the land of opportunity and a safe space for refugees. Of course, this proved to be difficult and, pointing a finger at the current president, will be even more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The actors\u2019 passionate acting was greatly enjoyable, the songs were expertly performed, so we can say \u2026 thanks again, it was a wonderful experience and we are really looking forward to seeing them on stage next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>PS: An dieser Stelle m\u00f6chte ich mich ganz herzlich beim Konvent des Klosters Scheyern bedanken, der es uns erm\u00f6glicht, die Auff\u00fchrungen im Wittelsbacher Saal durchzuf\u00fchren.
